We welcomed a variety of camping groups this week, with Pioneer Explorers and Junior Sprouts staying for half the traditional camp week, along with Morning Glories and Intermediate Nomads!
The Morning Glories will (surprise!) be getting up early in the mornings for activities like Gaga ball or polar bear swims. The Nomads will spend nights at both Wesley Forest, for different nature activities like creek stomps and star studies, and Camp Krislund, for adventures like the high ropes course, in addition to their time here at Mount Luther. We also have five staff traveling to Trinity Lutheran in Milton for day camp this week.
Following get-to-know-you games and swim tests, the campers gathered for a dinner of spaghetti and meatballs. We then went to Blacksnake for our traditional Sunday campfire, which featured a Safari theme to kick off the week! Campers “went on a lion hunt” with Chad, and got to check out the creek at the campsite, as Tara and James introduced the weekly theme, “The Water of Life.”
