It was another beautiful day and we enjoyed time outdoors, especially at the pool. During our GROW Times today, we learned more about loving family, friends, and neighbors and heard the story of Ruth and Naomi. We even did modern day social media posts about how we love others during our dinner devotions. The Upper Susquehanna Synod Council was here for dinner and their meeting and they even joined in the fun! Oh, and we sang the Austrian song at dinnertime. Our director only lets us do that once a summer and today was the day!
We had an All-Camp Activity this afternoon and journeyed to Bethlehem as the Magi. We had several stations themed around our daily themes this week and at the end we had a Christmas carol sing as we prepared to celebrate Christmas in July.
Our campfire featured camp songs from the last five decades and worship was Christmas-themed. Campers also walked the labyrinth and we reflected on the day.
Tomorrow, due to the forecast for some magic Christmas in July snow, we are running on a two-hour delay and will have a Christmas pajama brunch. It should be a lot of fun!
