It’s been a busy week at camp. Yesterday, we learned more about Living in Christmas and enjoyed singing some holiday tunes and being joyous about Christ’s birth. Our intermediate girls were joyous after their night’s sleep, camping out in the Gaga Ball pit!
Last night was our overnights. Due to anticipated storms (which blew through just after supper), our groups had alternative plans. The Pedal, Pack, and Paddlers were even out after the rain to do some scavenging, looking for wildlife. We’ll let them tell you all about their adventures!
Today, we had a hearty brunch and Bishop Bob Gepert from the Episcopal Diocese of Central PA was here to lead us in GROW Time. We did a guided meditation and learned about Lent and how we need to fill out lives with God instead of other things.
Electives this afternoon featured the normal pool, craft, and Camel News Patrol, as well as soccer, sand castles, soft pretzel making, homemade ice cream, Frisbee Golf and Down and Out. Tonight, we will be participating in a worship experience called “Stations of the Cross” as we continue our Lenten journey.
