2014 Week 6: Wednesday

Our day together started off with our traditional after-overnight brunch.  Although this week, we are trying a new program called “Base Camp,” when campers do not sleepout.  They cooked out last night but stayed in their cabin.  We like to call it a “fauxvernight.”  At brunch today, some of our campers and staff dressed up in cartoon character costumes.  They looked great!

After brunch, we had All-Camp GROW Time with Pastor Vickie.  We learned more about Living in Lent and the disciplines associated with that church season.  We even played a game to remember our baptisms!

During electives this afternoon, the Camel News Patrol worked on the weekly summer edition of Camel Tracks.  One of our campers, Camden Hare, took some video that we share here:

It was spaghetti for supper tonight and during dinner devotions we learned about how serving others plays into Lent. Our campers are playing games tonight, including Gaga Ball and “Ride the Camel” and will be doing worship and village time.
