2014 Week 6: Monday and Tuesday

The beginning of our week at camp has been fantastic!  Our campers have given us energy and enthusiasm as we learn more about “Living in God’s Time.”  Yesterday, we learned about Advent and preparations we make for Jesus’ arrival.  The campers played lots of games and did team building activities.  We even have a group here from Messiah, South Williamsport, as part of our Building Youth Groups program.  Gaga Ball was again a hit yesterday and continues to be the most popular new camp game this year!

Today, we learned more about Living in Christmas, with a fun rendition of “Go Tell It on the Mountain” for our First Light.  We also saw the Christmas story acted out at lunch.  Most of our campers are enjoying time in the pool this afternoon.  They will cook out tonight and make pizza muffins!  This week, we are trying something new.  Our cabin groups will not go on an overnight camping trip but instead stay in their cabins after their cookouts.  And, our Mini-camps will be leaving us tonight.  Those campers stayed two nights and three days to get a taste of the Mount Luther experience.
