2014 Week 5: Thursday

“This is the day that the Lord has made.  Let us rejoice and be glad in it.”  That’s how we started this morning, singing these familiar words on another beautiful camp day.  We learned more about living in the celebration of Easter.  We heard the familiar story of Mary going to the tomb and learning that Jesus had risen.

The Sports and Hobby campers continued their week with more sports, including time in the pool today.  Tonight, after a walk along the road to Emmaus, we had a Sports Free-for-All for All-Camp Activity.  The kids could pick from volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, Gaga Ball, Kuub, or soccer.  We ended the time with a Tug-of-War.

At campfire, our hosts, Ty and James, were whitewater rafting guides and led us through the rapids of our skits and songs.  We ended the night with an Easter-themed worship.  It will be sad to see this great week end tomorrow!
